The Civic Hybrid uses Honda's Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) hybrid system. It combines with a 1.4-liter gasoline engine with an electric motor and produces 110 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 123 lb.ft. of torque between 1000 rpm and 2500 rpm. Its fuel economy estimates are 40 miles per gallon in the city and 45 miles per gallon on the highway.
