The 2009 Honda Element is available in three trim levels- LX, EX and SC. The new Element line-up comes with a number of standard and optional features. The Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System comes as an available feature on Element EX and SC (automatic transmission models only), which includes a rear backup camera and a USB audio interface6. The navigation system features a 6.5-inch motorized display that opens and closes for access to an internal single-disc CD player and a digital audio card reader, and it contains more than 7 million points of interest. The voice activation of the system is capable of recognizing and entering numbers, street names and cities.

Element LX features a restyled low-profile center console; EX adds a new convertible center console with a removable cooler/storage box, while SC retains its exclusive center console. EX and SC models come equipped with a new modular three-compartment overhead console based on the RailportT Vehicle Personalization System, which includes two large storage bins and a rear storage area.

LX features a 4-speaker AM/FM audio system with a CD player, while EX and SC feature a 270-watt high-output audio system, an AM/FM tuner, CD player with MP3/WMAT4 capability, auxiliary audio input for MP3 players, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, seven speakers including a dynamic linear phase 6.5-inch subwoofer. XM® Satellite Radio5 comes standard on EX and SC.

Both LX and EX models are equipped with 16-inch wheels with all-season P215/70R16 tires, however, steel wheels are standard on LX, while EX features alloy wheels. The models also feature power rack-and-pinion steering and front & rear stabilizer bars (30.0x4.5 mm tubular front / 21.0 mm solid rear). SC trim adds 18-inch alloy wheels, with P225/55R18 tires; exclusive spring and damper tuning (30 percent firmer); a lowered ride height (approximately 0.7 inches); and increased rear stabilizer bar size (25.0 mm, solid). SC's solid front stabilizer bar is 25 percent stiffer and the rear stabilizer bar is 30 percent stiffer as compared to that of LX and EX.
