2009 Honda Ridgeline Introduction

Introduced in 2006 and Honda's mid-size sport utility truck Ridgeline has gone through a complete redesign for the first time in 2009. It has been launched with a fresh look, adding a total of fifty significant changes and new features. The 2009 Ridgeline comes with new interior and exterior styling and a more powerful engine. On the exterior, it receives a new grille. Honda has reshaped the headlights, enlarged the front and rear bumpers, and updated the taillights. Some extra flare has also been added to the wheel arches.
Inside, the 2009 Ridgeline features a new steering wheel, instrument gauges, and dashboard buttons. It also adds a new trip computer and the audio system is now equipped with an MP3 input jack. The utility truck offers seating for five passengers, along with ingenious storage options, a high-tech drivetrain and unique chassis construction. Some new technology features of the new Ridgeline include Bluetooth HandsFreeLink, a rearview backup camera, Satellite-Linked Navigation System and In-Bed Trunk.
The 2009 Honda Ridgeline is powered by a SOHC 3.5-liter VTEC all-aluminum engine, which produces 250 horsepower at 5700 rpm and 247 pound-feet of torque at 4300 rpm. Despite of boasting a more powerful engine, Ridgeline achieves the same fuel economy as the previous model and its CARB Ultra-Low Emissions Vehicle certification. Honda offers the 2009 Ridgeline in three trims- RT, RTS, and RTL.
